About the Accessory Designer:
Daniel was born into a family of goldsmiths in Taxco, Mexico, also known as “Pueblos Magicos”, a small town known for its silver and beloved by Frida Kahlo for art and inspiration. Daniel grew up immersed in the artisan’s environment. Inspired by the traditional Mexican silver artwork from his hometown, Daniel discovered his own creative voice and his passion for jewelry. He expanded that knowledge by training at the GIA in Los Angeles (Gemological Institute of America) and then joined the design team at Van Cleef & Arpels in Beverly Hills. In the years following, he further immersed himself in training in Europe and New York City before returning to Mexico City to start his own line. In 1997 he launched his first jewelry collection.
Bright colors, high quality shiny metals, unique gems and traditional jewelry artwork are turned into stunning pieces thanks to Daniel’s vision and passion as a designer. His collections are inspired by his deep understanding of Mexico’s culture. He has incorporated learnings from his education, travels and relationship with artisans into his work. His designs reflect how much he cares about his community and his intent to create a legacy based on job creation and supporting the town’s traditions.
